On the evening of May 30, a man threw a grenade in a group of people near the supermarket in Zhytomyr on Peace Avenue.

The incident took place around 23:30, when there was a conflict between a 35-year-old local resident and four men on a personal dislike.
After a verbal dispute, the attacker returned home, took a hand grenade and returned to the scene where he attacked, throwing an explosive device into a crowd of people.
The explosion affected six people – four participants in the conflict and two casual passers -by. The age of the victims is from 22 to 42 years. They all received multiple mine-explosive injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized in the city’s medical institutions.
After the attack, the attacker tried to escape, but thanks to the operational actions of the police, the Security Service of Ukraine and the prosecutor’s office, it was quickly delayed.
Law enforcement officers have opened criminal proceedings under the article “Attempted murder of two or more persons committed by a way that is dangerous to the lives of many people”. The issue of election of a suspect in custody is now being resolved.
The pre -trial investigation is ongoing, investigators establish all the circumstances of the crime and the attacker’s motives.
We will remind, on May 31 an unknown in military uniform opened an unreasonable shooting of automatic weapons in one of the residential quarters of Kharkiv – on Victory Avenue. Eyewitnesses also reported the explosion.
We have already reported that in Cherkasy police detained four people who participated in the conflict with the servicemen of the territorial center of acquisition and social support (TCC and JV).
