Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security (Bab) in the Kiev region, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, exposed the officials of the military unit and its accomplices in the seizure of budget funds during the purchase of drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the head of the financial and economic service of one of the military units organized a criminal scheme. He involved a familiar FOP, who, in turn, connected two more entrepreneurs.
Through controlled firms, they created the visibility of competition during public procurement, while the winner of the tender was determined in advance.
According to the investigation, such a scheme allowed to buy drones and accessories to them at inflated prices – for almost 2 million UAH.
Detectives of the Beb reported the organizer of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 27, Part 5 of Art. 191, Part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and executors – under Part 5 of Art. 27 and Part 5 of Art. 191 (appropriation, misappropriation of property or seizure by abuse of office).
The suspect is chosen by precautions – pledge and house arrest. The indictment is sent to court.
