In Ukraine, autumn vacations for students will start approximately at the end of October 2025. The final dates will depend on the decision of each individual school.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1003, the school year in schools began on September 1, 2025 and will last until June 30, 2026.
The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) also explained that on June 30 it is only a marginal date, not a mandatory term of completion of classes. Schools have the right to determine independently when the school year will end and when students go to vacations. The decision should be made by the Pedagogical Council, taking into account the educational load, the security situation in the region, the state of students and the readiness of teachers.
Estimated vacation schedule in the 2025-2026 academic year
According to the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science this academic year vacations will be for students:

Autumn: October 27 – November 2, 2025;

Winter: December 27, 2025 – January 11, 2026;

Spring: March 23 – 29, 2026;

Summer: from June 1 to the beginning of the new school year
In the Ministry of Education and Science They emphasizedthat the duration of the holidays during the year should be at least 30 calendar days, and schools may change the recreation schedule in the event of epidemiological restrictions or danger in the region.
In December will start Winter holidays in Ukrainian schools. For most students, they will last two weeks, but in some cities children will receive a whole month of rest from lessons.
