The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, said that attacks on employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers directly undermine the state’s defense capabilities.
Gennady Shapovalov, commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to him, systematic attacks on representatives of the TCC pose a threat to the normal operation of the mobilization system and put the formation of combat units under attack.
He emphasized that such incidents should not be perceived as domestic conflicts – it is a matter of national security.
Pavlyuk emphasized that the enemy is actively trying to destabilize the situation inside Ukraine, and one of the tools is to incite hatred against representatives of the TCC.
Through social networks and hostile propaganda, disinformation campaigns are spreading, which are creating a negative attitude towards the recruitment system among some citizens.
The commander noted that such activity affects people’s readiness to perform their military duty and increases internal tension in society.
He drew attention to the fact that most of the employees of the TCC are military personnel who work in front-line conditions, are under constant psychological pressure and perform responsible service.
The general called the attacks on them an attempt to “stab in the rear” and weaken the Ukrainian army at a time when it is facing Russia’s large-scale aggression.
In his opinion, any physical or public pressure on the military, which is engaged in mobilization, actually plays into the enemy’s hand.
The commander of the Ground Forces called on law enforcement agencies to react harshly to cases of violence or humiliation of TCC employees.
It will be recalled that in Odesa, employees of the TCC beat a marine released from captivity, an investigation has been launched.
Also, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported that this year the number of appeals regarding the work of military personnel of the TCC and SP has increased significantly.
