In the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region, the so-called authorities announced a water cut for almost a week in 26 towns and villages.

Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Luhansk OVA, announced this.

“In the middle of November, a water cutoff for almost a week was announced in 26 cities and villages of the so-called “LPR”. In particular, in Alchevsk, Bryantsk, Perevalsk, Slovianoserbsk and a number of other settlements,” Lysak wrote.

He also noted that in the territories of Luhansk Region, captured by the Russians in 2014, significant interruptions in centralized water supply have been observed in recent years. The OVA emphasized that during the 10 years of occupation, neither the Russians nor the local occupation authorities paid attention to the current state of communications.

“They deviated in every possible way from carrying out the planned replacement of water supply sections, repair of pumping equipment, energy facilities. As a result, we have many emergency situations. Because of this, hundreds of thousands of local residents remain without water for days and weeks,” added Lysak.

Earlier we wrote that Kyiv is monitoring the state of water in the rivers after the pollution caused by the Russians in the Seim River. The city conducts tests every day.

Damage to the environment in Chernihiv and Sumy regions due to pollution of the Seim and Desna rivers exceeds 405 million hryvnias.

We will also remind you that in the Russian city of Tyotkino, a local sugar factory dumped sewage into the Seim River, which caused water pollution with organic substances.
