The National Asset Management Agency (ARMA) has announced the launch of a new social project – the arrested apartments will now be able to get “internally displaced persons”, servicemen and their families who have lost their homes.
This was reported by the ARMA Head Olena Duma during the IV Legal Forum Eu-Eastern Partnership 2025.
According to her, the agency has already developed a pilot project, taking into account the recommendations of NGOs and possible risks, in particular – the removal of arrest from property. ARMA prepares a series of competitions within which a manager for arrested living quarters will be selected.
Under the terms of the contract, the newly elected manager will transfer these apartments to Ukrainian defenders, “internally displaced persons” and those who are left without a roof over their head as a result of Russian aggression.
The agency’s press service emphasized that this project is an next step towards the effective use of arrested assets in favor of society and defense forces. In the conditions of a full -scale war, every asset is a resource for the sustainability of the state.
The task of ARMA is to turn complex legal cases into real results for Ukrainians.
As of the end of May 2025, about 4.6 million “internally displaced persons” were registered in Ukraine, of which 3.7 million were adults and almost 860 thousand children. At the same time, the Government has recently approved a new procedure for compensation for utilities for relocation facilities.
Payments will now be made by the Pension Fund, not local authorities.
We will remind, the National Agency for search and management of assets has concluded an agreement with the new manager of the House of Trade Unions, located on the Independence Square in Kiev.
