Maryana Bezugla may be dismissed from the post of deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security. Instead, she can become a member of the foreign policy committee.
People’s deputy from the Voice faction, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, announced this, and he published a draft resolution initiated by the head of the Servant of the People faction, Davyd Arakhamiya.
As the people’s deputy noted, Arakhamia proposes to the parliament to dismiss Bezugla from the post of deputy of the defense committee and member of the committee. It is proposed to appoint her as a member of the Committee on Foreign Policy.
Bezugla also published a statement addressed to the Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk. In the statement, she asked to be removed from the post of deputy of the defense committee and member of the committee and to be elected as a member of the committee on foreign policy.
On September 4, it became known that the Rada could not remove Maryana Bezugla from the post of deputy head of the committee on national security.

Yuriy Ignat, the former speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, called on the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to investigate Bezugla’s actions after her statement regarding the pilot’s death.
Maryana Bezuglai’s exit from the Servant of the People faction – what is known
On July 15, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence decided to remove Bezugla from the post of chairman of the subcommittee on democratic civil control.
In response, the elected official herself wrote on Facebook that the committee’s decision was related to her public statements about problems in the Armed Forces.
On July 17, people’s deputy from the Voice party Yaroslav Zheleznyak wrote in Telegram that Maryana Bezugla left the faction of the Servant of the People party.
The elected representative herself later confirmed her act and published a statement about leaving the faction on her Facebook page.
Bezugla also reported that the Defense Committee of the Council voted to exclude her from its membership.
The draft resolution was supported by 14 people’s deputies out of 16 present at the July 22 meeting. One person did not vote and Bezugla herself abstained.
