Another group of children from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region was returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine as part of the rescue operation.

Among the rescued are boys and girls aged 11 to 17. The return took place within the framework of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA and with the assistance of the charity organization “Save Ukraine”.
Russian security forces applied pressure on the families of these children. For example, an eleven-year-old boy and his father were kept in a police station for refusing to issue Russian documents and send the child to an occupation school. The family of the 16-year-old and her 13-year-old sisters were also threatened with deprivation of parental rights and issued fines for refusing to go to a Russian school. Despite the threat, the girls secretly continued their studies online at the Ukrainian school.
Currently, the children are in “Hope and Recovery” centers, where they receive psychological support, help with documents, housing and care.
