SBU employees detained an agent of Russian military intelligence “red handed” in Odesa, when she was conducting reconnaissance near a regime facility. The woman corrected enemy attacks on the city and supported the occupiers on social networks.

About this informs SBU

According to the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the SBU, among the objects of potential damage, the coordinates of which the figure was collecting, were units of the Ukrainian special service, which carry out combat missions in the southern direction. As the investigation established, a 52-year-old local unemployed woman recruited by the enemy was engaged in directing airstrikes. She came to the attention of the occupiers through an acquaintance who lives in Russia and cooperates with the military intelligence of the Russian Federation.

“In order to track the coordinates for the air attack, the agent went around the area and marked on Google maps the location of objects that, in her opinion, could be used by the Ukrainian defenders. For the purpose of the conspiracy, the defendant pretended to be walking the dogs she had taken from her friends. She also regularly changed her clothes and behavior. She sent the collected intelligence in the form of photos, videos and electronic geolocations to the curator via messenger. SBU employees detained the agent “in the act” when she was conducting reconnaissance near the regime object, the report says.

During the search, a smartphone with a prepared intelligence “report” for the GRU of the Russian Federation was seized from the woman. Also, her Telegram posts were found on the detainee’s gadget, where she justifies the full-scale invasion of the Russians.

Investigators of the Security Service informed the agency about suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • Part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law);
  • Part 2 of Art. 436 (justification of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine);
  • Part 1 of Art. 161 (violation of the equality of citizens).

The perpetrator is in custody without bail. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The agent of the Russian Federation received 15 years for correcting attacks on airfields of the Armed Forces.

A soldier of the Armed Forces, who corrected the strikes of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region, was convicted.

It will be recalled that the SBU detained the adjuster of the Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.

The SBU also exposed the Russian intelligence network that was preparing terrorist attacks by teenagers.
