The Antimonopoly Committee imposed a fine on two medicines distributors who conspired to keep the price for popular medicines’ Spasmalgon ” , “ Evcazolin Aqua ” , “ Bifren ” and others .

According to the Committee’s decision, both companies of LLC “ Badm ” And the joint venture “ Optima-Farm, LTD ” committed anti -competitive actions in the pharmaceutical market. During 2020-2023, they agreed prices for a number of popular medicines such as “ Spasmalgon ” , “ Evcazolin Aqua ” , “ Bifren ” and others that limited competition between them.
The market analysis showed that their total share in the wholesale market of medicinal products exceeded 85%.
The AMCU found that companies did not have transparent pricing mechanisms, and prices for drugs were agreed.
As a result of such actions, they were able to increase their financial indicators: net profit of LLC “ Badm ” grew 3.5 times and JV “ Optima-Farm, LTD ” – 11 times.
The Committee obliged the companies to stop the violation and imposed penalties: UAH 2.37 billion for LLCs “ Badm ” and UAH 2.43 billion for joint vent “ Optima-Farm, LTD ” .
Earlier, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine began consideration against groups of companies “Avangard” and Ovostar Union on suspicion of anti -competitive concerted actions when forming prices for chicken eggs.
The AMCU for Naftogaz Trading and Ukrtransgaz fined the Naftogaz group by UAH 1.7 billion.
