As reports Ukrinform Ambassador of Lithuania to Canada Egidius Mailas at the conference told about it “ Ukraine will make NATO stronger ” organized with the assistance of the Canadian-Ukrainian Charity Mriya AID.
“ Since February 2024, the Member States of the Coalition have been handed over to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the sapper units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their own warehouses for about 473 million euros ” – said Maylunas.
According to him, international partners handed over passenger and exchanging vehicles, mins detectors, sapper sets, robots and other necessary equipment to Ukraine.
The ambassador added that his country, despite his relatively small size, allocates significant funds to support Ukraine in the reflecting of Russian aggression. “ This year the total volume of our assistance will reach 1 billion euros ” – he said.
Recall that Ukraine should receive € 700 million from western partners for the purchase of equipment for mine. The funds are planned to be provided by 2034.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also initiated the creation of a landfill for testing new mine methods, where technology tests are planned on the basis of artificial intelligence and exchange of experience with international partners.
