The Austrian Parliament unanimously condemned Russia’s violation of human rights in the occupied territories of Ukraine and its treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga called it “a strong international voice for justice.”
All factions of the Austrian parliament supported the resolution, which condemns the systematic violations of human rights by Russia in the occupied Ukrainian territories and the methods of treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
“We are grateful to the Parliament of Austria and all the deputies who supported the decision. This is another strong international voice for justice and responsibility. Another proof that neutrality does not mean indifference,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiga.
He also emphasized the importance of the topic of human rights violations in the occupied territories remaining in the focus of attention of the democratic countries of the world and emphasized the importance of international solidarity with Ukraine.
