In the Lviv region, after the shelling of the Russian Federation, the schedules of power outages were tightened. In some settlements, people can remain without electricity for more than ten hours in a row.
Lvivoblenergo reported on updated shutdown schedules for February 7. Due to emergency situations at energy facilities after shelling, electricity supply will be temporarily suspended in various areas of the region.
“We are doing everything we can to reduce the time of outages, but safe and stable restoration of power supply requires strict adherence to schedules,” the company said in a statement. Settlements were divided into subgroups with different time intervals of outages:
- Subgroup 1.1 – 05:00–07:30, 11:00–14:30, 18:00–21:30
- Subgroup 1.2 – 05:00–07:30, 11:00–14:30, 18:00–21:30
- Subgroup 2.1 and 2.2 – 07:30–11:00, 14:30–18:00, 21:30–24:00
- Subgroup 3.1 and 3.2 – 07:30–11:00, 14:30–18:00, 21:30–24:00
- Subgroup 4.1 – 05:00–07:30, 11:00–14:30, 18:00–21:30
- Subgroup 4.2 – 07:30–11:00, 14:30–18:00, 21:30–24:00
- Subgroup 5.1 – 05:00–07:30, 11:00–14:30, 18:00–21:30
- Subgroup 5.2 – 07:30–11:00, 14:30–18:00, 21:30–24:00
- Subgroup 6.1 and 6.2 – 05:00–07:30, 11:00–14:30, 18:00–21:30
Due to such schedules, energy experts emphasize, residents should be prepared for long interruptions in the supply of light, especially in the evening hours. At the same time, the company called on the population to use electricity sparingly, to prepare spare sources of lighting and charges for gadgets in order to minimize inconvenience during outages. “We understand that the situation is difficult, but safe restoration of electricity supply after shelling is possible only with strict adherence to schedules,” Lvivoblenergo added.
We will remind you that on the night of February 7, Russian troops launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, launching more than 400 drones and about 40 missiles. The main target of this attack was energy facilities, in particular mainline substations and thermal power plants.
