In the capital, after a failure in the energy system of Ukraine, the work of key engineering networks is gradually being stabilized. Water supply has been restored on the left bank, utility workers are returning heat to high-rise buildings.
It was reported on Telegram Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko and Telegram channeland President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
According to Klitschko, after a large-scale accident in the energy system of Ukraine, which stopped the water and heat supply of Kyiv, communal services are actively restoring vital services.
On the left bank of the city, water is already being supplied, and in Holosiivsk, Pechersk and Shevchenkivsk districts, the system works at reduced pressure.
“We are working without days off to restore heat and water to all districts of Kyiv as soon as possible,” the mayor noted.
He also notes that currently 3,419 high-rise buildings remain without heating, mostly on the right bank of the capital.
Energy and utility workers continue their work to restore comfort to residents as soon as possible.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi also noted the tense situation with life support in Kyiv.
“There is a significant shortage of heat. The city, utility services and energy companies promise to rectify the situation as much as possible by tomorrow morning, but the pace should be faster,” the president emphasized.
At the same time, he added that water should be available to all consumers in Kyiv today.
“According to the reports, there are, but we are checking very carefully,” Zelensky emphasized.
We will remind that the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced the restoration of energy supply in all regions after the large-scale accident that occurred in the morning of August 31.
In the evening in Kyiv region and part of Odesa region returned to planned schedules of blackouts.
On the morning of January 31, emergency power outages began in Ukraine. In some areas, shutdown schedules are not observed.
