In Kharkiv, after a massive rocket attack, communal services have partially restored the supply of centralized heating to residential buildings, but about 300,000 people are still left in the cold.
This was announced by the head of Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov. He said on TV that a large part of the city’s residents remain without heating and hot water.
“Nearly 100,000 subscribers, which is, conventionally, 300,000 of the population, are actually currently without these services in the city of Kharkiv itself. Likewise, two communities: Pisochynska and Solonytsivska – approximately 16,000 subscribers – remain without these services. All our objects are already under repair. Our task is to restore everything as quickly as possible. As for the power supply, it is currently restored, but there are emergency fan shutdowns. At the same time, approximately 15% of our subscribers are without electricity, this allows us to stabilize this situation and establish the provision of these services for our consumers,” said the head of OVA.
According to him, the enemy primarily targeted not only the electricity supply facilities, but the heating and hot water facilities were in the first place. Sinegubov added that more than 360 Points of Invincibility are currently deployed in the city, they all work around the clock.
“If necessary, we can actually deploy 913 such points across the region. We are currently analyzing their attendance, the request from the population and will immediately make decisions in a 24-hour mode to meet the demand for people,” Sinegubov said.
He also added that specialists in the city are working on decontamination of a rocket that fell in one of the yards.
“Nearby residential buildings were evacuated in order to protect people,” Sinegubov said.
