In Kharkiv, a woman accused of committing a terrorist attack ordered by Russia, which killed two Ukrainian servicemen, will appear in court.

According to the investigation, in May 2025, the woman from Kharkiv started communicating via Telegram with representatives of the Russian Federation, who offered her to blow up Ukrainian servicemen for a reward of $1,000. According to the curators’ video instructions, she made a remote-controlled explosive device at home.
Subsequently, the prosecutor’s office noted, representatives of the Russian Federation established contact with the Ukrainian military and, under the pretext of assistance, agreed to hand over the scooter delivered by the transport service to them.
“In June, a woman from Kharkiv came to a park in the Industrial district to conduct reconnaissance. She checked the luggage compartment of the moped, took the keys from it and left the place. After lunch, she returned, opened the trunk of the scooter and put a black backpack with explosives inside. When the military arrived at the scene and approached the moped to load it into the car, the enemy remotely activated the SVP. As a result of the explosion, one one of the servicemen died on the spot, the other died of his injuries in the hospital,” the department informed.
On the same day, law enforcement officers detained the woman at her place of residence in Kharkiv. According to the court’s decision, she is in custody without bail.
The female figure is accused of committing a terrorist act that led to the death of people based on a prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine); illegal storage of explosives and explosive devices (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code); illegal manufacture of explosive substances and explosive devices, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 263-1 of the Criminal Code).
The Industrial District Court of Kharkiv will consider the case. The maximum punishment the accused faces is life imprisonment.
