An electronic petition for imposing sanctions against the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, the leader of the European Solidarity Party, Petro Poroshenko gathered on the presidential portal 23 thousand 799 votes of 25 thousand for consideration. It was rejected as not being supported by the public.

The petition card reports that an initiative entitled “On the introduction of sanctions against one of the founders of the forbidden Party of Regions of Petro Poroshenko” on January 24 under No. 22/240812-EP was introduced by citizen Oleg Solovyov.

“The grounds for the introduction of sanctions are the following facts and circumstances: Petro Poroshenko was one of the founders and co -chair of the Party of Regions, which became a political platform for the anti -Ukrainian policy in favor of the Russian Federation, and therefore its activity is prohibited by the decision of the eighth appeal of the administrative court/23.02.2023. Ukraine ”, – the petition reads.

The document also mentions Poroshenko in the Government of Mykora Azarov, who is suspected of treason, his alleged participation in the process related to the Kharkiv Agreements, his assistance to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in recent years and his business activity.

But for the allotted 90 days, the petition did not gain 1 thousand 201 votes up to 25 thousand required for its consideration, ie less than 5%.

On February 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions against Poroshenko. Among them are the blocking of assets: temporary deprivation of the right to use and dispose of assets belonging to an individual or legal entity, as well as assets for which such a person can directly or indirectly (through other individuals or legal entities) take actions identical in the content of the right to dispose of them; suspension of performance of economic and financial obligations.

Poroshenko appealed these sanctions in the Supreme Court of Ukraine, and at the first meeting on April 17, the fifth President of Ukraine reported that the sanctions imposed against him are “preventive in nature”. Petro Poroshenko and his representatives continue to emphasize that sanctions have been imposed illegally.

At the end of April, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a petition to impose sanctions against the People’s Deputy, the leader of the European Solidarity Party Petro Poroshenko. The document is registered on the President’s website.

We will remind, recently the People’s Deputy and leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko stated that he was not allowed to leave Ukraine for meeting with European politicians. The Verkhovna Rada replied that Poroshenko had to go to Poroshenko.

In November 2024, the leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko was not allowed to go abroad for participation at the Munich Conference on Security. He seems to be in danger there.
