In Odesa Oblast, SBU and UVVB officers of the State Border Service exposed a law enforcement officer and his accomplice who tried to transport a man across the border to Moldova for $18,000.
According to the investigation, in August 2025, a law enforcement officer decided to make money from conscripts who wanted to leave the country illegally to avoid mobilization.
He involved a civilian acquaintance who was looking for clients in the arrangement.
Dilyka promised to transport the man across the state border in a car with employees of the State Border Guard Service. While receiving the first part of the payment — $10,000 — the law enforcement officer was detained.
Both suspects were notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of persons across the state border). The sanction of the article provides up to 9 years of imprisonment. Currently, a petition to the court to choose a preventive measure is being prepared, a pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and other possible participants in the arrangement are being identified.
Also, border guards in Izmail eliminated a new scheme of illegal crossing of the border by conscripts through the Danube by underwater route.
