In Valencia, on February 24, 2025, a large -scale Bandera de Ucrania action was held, dedicated to the third anniversary of the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.
The event was attended by more than 1,700 people, including the Ukrainian community, Spain residents and diaspora from different countries.
The purpose of the action is to remind the world of the war, to honor the defenders of Ukraine and to call for strengthening of sanctions and assistance. The participants passed the central streets of the city with candles and banners, receiving support from local residents.
The culmination of the event was the deployment of a 13-meter Ukrainian flag near Torres de Serranos, as well as a city race. During the event, 1,500 information leaflets about crimes of the Russian Federation and calls for support of Ukraine were distributed.
On the same day, Spain Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced the allocation of 1 billion euros for military assistance to Ukraine.
