NABU and SAP informed about the suspicion of members of an organized criminal group that operated in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and ensured that people’s deputies received bribes for the “required” vote. Among the suspects are 5 people’s deputies of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the group had a hierarchical structure and a clear division of roles. Its members included current people’s deputies of Ukraine and officials of the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The activities of the group were coordinated by one of the people’s deputies. To organize votes, group members sent instructions with numbers of draft laws in a specially created WhatsApp messenger group. After voting, money was systematically handed over to individual people’s deputies.
Among the suspects are 5 People’s Deputies of Ukraine, they are indicted under Part 3 of Art. 28, Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (bribery in a particularly large amount, or by an official who occupies a particularly responsible position, committed in an organized group). Petitions for the selection of preventive measures have been handed to everyone.
According to Ukrainian Pravda sources, as part of the investigation of an organized criminal group, people’s deputies from “Servant of the People” Evgeny Pyvovarov, Ihor Negulevskyi, Olga Savchenko and Yurii Kisiel received suspicions. Other suspicions are also possible. According to sources, Yuriy Koryavchenkov (Yuzik) allegedly left Ukraine, but the faction denies this.
In response to numerous appeals from the media, NABU and SAP reported that currently not conducted no searches of People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Koryavchenkov, known as “Yuzik” from “Kvartal”.
