In Poltava Oblast, 58 hand grenades of various types, mines, including anti-tank, anti-tank grenade launchers, and more than 1,600 cartridges were found in a forest strip.
This was reported by the police of the Poltava region.
The district police department received a report from a local resident about suspicious objects similar to ammunition found in one of the forest lanes near Poltava. An investigative team and explosives specialists immediately arrived at the scene.
Specialists of the explosives service seized 58 hand grenades of various types, about 20 fuses and detonators, four mines (three of which are anti-tank), a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher and more than 1,600 cartridges of various calibers.
It is noted that currently the arms control sector of the Poltava Regional Police Department is solving the issue of transferring seized ammunition to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier in Lviv Oblast, law enforcement officers exposed a man suspected of illegal sale of weapons and ammunition.
In Kyiv, the court announced a guilty verdict to a 41-year-old man from Kyiv, who illegally purchased, stored, and subsequently sold military supplies and explosive devices. The pre-trial investigation established that the criminal, through specialized websites, established a scheme for the illegal sale of hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers on the territory of the capital.
