A 45-year-old father and his 24-year-old son were detained in Kyiv, who tried to organize the illegal transportation of men abroad for a significant sum of $15,000.
The family group promised its clients not only departure, but also “cleansing” before the law, offering solutions for wanted persons through fictitious employment.
The cost of the services depended on the scenarios: going on a “vacation” with a return cost $13,000, while the escape scheme cost $15,000.
The investigation established that during the detailed discussion of the agreement, the father of the organizer demanded part of the amount of $10 thousand, offering conspiratorial solutions, in particular, the use of crypto wallets.
Despite the security measures, both were detained by law enforcement officers. Criminal proceedings have been opened against them under Part 3 of Art. 332 and Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for responsibility for the organization of illegal transit across the border and abuse of influence.
The specified facts of activity were recorded at the beginning of 2025 during the joint actions of the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office and the SBU. Detainees must be held accountable for their actions, and if found guilty, they face a significant sentence.
