A serious traffic accident involving a minibus and a car took place on the Oleksandrivka – Kropyvnytskyi – Mykolaiv highway. As a result of the accident, a woman died, nine more passengers were injured of varying degrees of severity.

According to preliminary data from law enforcement officers, the Mercedes-Benz 313 CDI minibus was moving in the direction from Mykolaiv to Kropyvnytskyi. A driver born in 1966 was behind the wheel.
The accident occurred at the intersection with a field road. The driver of the minibus did not maintain a safe distance and collided with a ZAZ-Daewoo car driven by a man born in 1977, who was making a left turn maneuver.
As a result of the collision, the passenger of the minibus died at the scene from her injuries. Another nine people were injured and were hospitalized in medical facilities.
“Investigators and operative services of the police are working at the scene. All the circumstances of the traffic accident will be carefully established within the framework of the pre-trial investigation,” said Andriy Dubrova, chief of the police of the Kirovohrad Region.
Earlier, Khrystyna Usyk, journalist of Rivne TV channel, died in a traffic accident. The girl was 21 years old. According to preliminary information, the accident occurred on a section of the track that was not illuminated due to a power outage.
