In Lviv Oblast, a court found a cadet of one of Ukraine’s leading military institutions guilty of treason and sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of all property.

According to the investigation, the 20-year-old cadet was recruited by the Russian special services in April 2025, looking for easy money in Telegram. He transmitted information to the enemy about the location of training grounds, buildings, barracks and production facilities of enterprises of the military-industrial complex, as well as the schedules of other cadets. This data could be used to prepare strikes on objects.
The law enforcement officers exposed the agent and detained him on the territory of the university in May 2025. The cadet will be in custody until the verdict becomes final.
Earlier in Kyiv, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an agent who worked for the Russian and Belarusian special services.
