In the period from January to April 2025, 6736 road accidents occurred on the roads of Ukraine with dead and injured. There are 56 severe accidents on average.

This year, the daily number of severe accidents increased by 4%compared to the same period of 2024.
In four months of 2025, 815 people were killed, and another 8330 were injured.
Anti -rating is headed by Dnipropetrovsk – 73 dead and 562 wounded since the beginning of the year. In the second place was Lviv region – 59 dead and 561 injured.
Most road accidents were caused by speed raising due to violations of pedestrian crossings, ignoring priority at intersections, failure to observe distance and driving in a state of intoxication. In 27% of cases, pedestrians were injured.
We will remind, recently on the highway Kremenchuk – Poltava there was a large -scale road accident, in which police Anatoliy Ilyashenko and employee of the shopping center Sergeant Viktor Borovko were killed.
In 2024, police registered 25 781 road accidents with victims. Statistics show that 3 202 of them were killed, another 32,023 people were injured.
