The court imposed a sentence of 15 years in prison with confiscation of property by seven fighters who fought against the defense forces in eastern Ukraine. The sentence was adopted on the basis of materials of military counterintelligence and investigators of the SBU.
The traitors were captured by Ukrainian defenders during the fighting in the Kursk, Siversky and Liman directions.
The investigation found that four convicted people were residents of the temporarily occupied Luhansk region who voluntarily joined the groups of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation. Two of them in the 6th and 7th Motorized Rifle Brigades stormed the positions of the Armed Forces near Verkhnokamunsky, using large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers. Two more went to Russia, where they signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and fought in the motorized rifle regiments near Novosadov and Terne.
The fifth fighter from the Crimea served in the 110th brigade of the invaders, guarded warehouses near Avdiivka, where he was captured by the Ukrainian military.
Sixth-in the 255th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Federation arranged armor near Marinka and St. George, then participated in the assault in the direction of Pokrovsk.
