Ukrainian welterweight boxer Yaroslav Mikhalushko (12-0, 9 KOs) defeated Mexico’s Alexis Mungia (12-3-3, 6 KOs) on a night of boxing in Belgium.
The Ukrainian knocked out his opponent in the 1st and 8th rounds. In the end, Yaroslav won by a unanimous decision of the judges after 10 rounds.
Mikhalushko won the WBC Francophone and WBC International welterweight belts.
The native of Ivano-Frankivsk had three fights in 2025 – he knocked out Arsorbek Rakhimov of Uzbekistan (TKO 2), stopped Jaime Villegas of Colombia (KO 2) and defeated Meriton Karaksha of Albania (UD 10).
Mikhalushko is the champion of Ukraine and Europe among juniors, and also became the silver medalist of the world championship among students in 2022.
