Manager of world champion Deontay Wilder Shelley Finkel commented on Oleksandr Usyk’s decision to hold the match in 2026.
“Usyk is a great champion. We already have plans for next year and would like Oleksandr to be a part of them. If a correct offer comes, we are ready to consider holding such a fight,” said Finkel.
Previously, the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career. The boxer recently made the WBO title vacant and lost the status of absolute world champion.
