Former heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder reacted to Oleksandr Usyk’s last steps and addressed the Ukrainian boxer with a short message. The American succinctly made it clear that he was ready for the development of events and a possible match.
– What can you say to Usyk?
– Usyk. Push the horses. I’m very feeling, – answered Wilder.
It will be recalled that Usyk recently gave up the WBO title, explaining this by his unwillingness to fight the mandatory contender Fabio Wordley at the moment. Instead, the Ukrainian openly declared his interest in a fight with Wilder.
Moreover, the World Boxing Council has already given permission for Usyk to voluntarily defend the championship belt, which makes a potential fight with the “Bronze Bomber” very real in the near future.
