“Naoya Inoue is not going to face the interim title holder”, — write: sport.ua
On January 24, the Japanese boxer will fight against mandatory IBF contender Sam Goodman (19–0, 8 KOs, Australia). After that, Inoue is scheduled to face interim WBA champion Murojon Akhmadaliyev (13–1, 10 KOs, Uzbekistan).
The famous promoter Eddie Hearn, who represents the boxer from Uzbekistan, said that the Japanese “Monster” is not going to enter the ring against Murojon, so he will lose the WBA title. In this case, Akhmadaliyev will be promoted to a full-fledged champion.
If there is no sensation and Inoue passes Goodman, then in the next match he will meet with Mexican Alan Picasso (31–0–1, 17 KOs).
