Life experience Sergiy Podolian was born on December 5, 1981 in Kamianets-Podilskyi in Khmelnytskyi, there he studied at the School of Arts # 9 and graduated from a music school in the Bayan class, and in 1999 graduated from Lyceum # 18. After serving in the army, Podolian studied at the University of Tourism, Economics and Law and received a lawyer diploma. Since 2001, Sergei has worked as a lawyer in Kamianets-Podilskyi TV and Radio Company. Since 2007, having already moved to Kiev, the man worked in the capital by a lawyer of the legal department of Ukrzaliznytsia, founded several enterprises and managed them, was the chairman of the board of joint stock company.
Trace in sports Sergei was an active child, engaged in various sports, and found himself in martial arts – engaged in kickboxing and hand -to -hand fight. Podolyan was a pupil of the Pride Martial Arts Club. Under the guidance of coach Anatoliy Labatyuk, Sergei participated in various competitions, in 2009 he became a bronze medalist of the Open Championship of Ukraine in Sumy, received the title of candidate for a master of sports. In 2008, Podolyan helped to create Kamyanets Podilskyi City Federation of Kickboxing, repeatedly sponsored international and all-Ukrainian speeches by kickboxers from his hometown, and at the same time acquired the qualification of a judge of the first category in Kickboxing Wako.
Combat experience Sergey Podolyan has dreamed of becoming since childhood. In 2020 he began to study at the National University of Defense, in July 2022 he received a diploma of the lieutenant. Since 2018 he has actively participated in the activities of the public-military organization “Ukrainian Legion”.
From the first days of Russian aggression, Sergei in the Kiev Territorial Defense met aggressors in Obolon, further participated in the liberation of the Kyiv region. Since April 2022, he volunteered for military service in the Special Operations Forces.
During the Podolyan service, he showed himself a balanced, sustained, initiative, physically developed military, creating an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect and intolerance to the disadvantages. Thanks to the courage and aircraft intelligence skills, Sergei raised the threat of destruction from thousands of residents of Chernihiv, and brought out more than 80 Ukrainian fighters from the environment. At the same time, as a military personnel, Sergei purchased and handed over a crossover car.
Death Sergey Podolyan died on August 31, 2022 near the village of Ukrainka Chuguev district in Kharkiv region during the task of command of the SCO.
The hero has parents and two children – Michael and Sophia.
Honoring The warrior was buried at the Kamianets-Podilskyi Walk of Glory on September 4, 2022.
By the decision of the session of the city council of November 8, 2022, Sergey Podolian was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of Kamianets-Podilskyi”.
On May 25, 2023, by decree of the President of Ukraine for personal courage and dedication, actions were revealed in the protection of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath was awarded the warrior “for courage” of the third degree (posthumously).
On June 19, 2023, by order of the chief of Kharkiv garrison, the junior sergeant Podolyan was awarded the silver medal “For the Liberation of Kharkiv Region” (posthumously).
In September 2023, the Open Khmelnytskyi Championship of Kickboxing WAKO was held among children’s and youth schools and sports clubs dedicated to the memory of the defender of Ukraine Sergei Podolyan.
