Duba promoter – Frank Warren – believes that in the first duel between these boxers the winner was his ward. He accuses the referee that he did not deduct the legal knockdown, but allowed the Ukrainian to recover:

In August 2023, the Ukrainian boxer played the first battle with the British – knocked out in the ninth round. Duba believes that the referee prevented him from winning and did not count Alexander a legitimate knockdown.
