Boxer from Kremenchuk Viktor Vykhrist exclusively for Sport.ua commented on the victory over the Macedonian Todorche Tsvetkov in Germany, which allowed him to win the vacant WBO Evropean championship belt:
“First of all, it should be clarified that this was not a WBO Intercontinental title fight, as reported in the press. But the victory won allows me to claim higher positions according to the WBO version. This is quite an incentive.
As for the actual match that took place in Flensburg, of course, I did not think that everything would end so quickly. After all, Tsvetkov is an experienced boxer with 11 knockout victories to his credit. It was important to keep him at a distance and use his height advantage to attack with long shots. This plan totally worked. After a series of blows to the body of the Balkan man, everything ended with a knockout in 29 seconds.
What’s next? My promoters promise that the next fight will take place in March. It is possible that in the undercard of some title match according to another version.”
