Legendary boxer Volodymyr Klitschko reacted to the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to ban Vladyslav Geraskevych to use his special helmet, which depicts Ukrainian athletes killed in the war:
“The Olympic Committee (IOC) doesn’t want you to see it.
So here it is: a helmet in honor of the Ukrainian Olympians who died defending their country from the barbaric Russian invasion, now in its fifth year in a row.
The Olympic Games have always been political games. At the 2022 Olympics, China asked Putin to wait until after the Games before invading Ukraine. So let’s stop the hypocrisy.”
