On Saturday, January 10, an evening of boxing was held in Oberhausen, Germany, at the Rudolf Weber–Arena, the main event of which was the fight for the title of interim WBC super heavyweight world champion.
The undefeated Agit Kabael and the Polish challenger Damian Knyba entered the ring. The German was in complete control of the fight and ended the confrontation with a knockout in the third round.
After the victory, Kabayel appealed to the audience to choose his next opponent. In response, the tribunes erupted with chants: “Usyk! Usyk!”.
Kabael retained the WBC Interim belt and strengthened his position as one of the main contenders for the fight with the absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
