The famous heavyweight Derek Chisora ​​said that he was supposed to fight Deontay Wilder in December, but at the last moment the promoters of the American canceled the fight.

Chisora ​​believes that it is all because of Oleksandr Usyk, who offered Wilder a fight as part of a voluntary defense of the WBC title.

“Everything was already agreed, but then Wilder’s big bosses called him and canceled everything. Now he has plans for another fight. It happens,” Chisora ​​said.

Earlier, Usyk confirmed his desire to fight Wilder, and the WBC gave permission for a voluntary defense.

The fight is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2026.
