United heavyweight champion of the world Oleksandr Usyk signed a contract to fight against Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven.
According to the source, the match is scheduled for May 9, 2026. The parties have reached a full agreement on the organization of the mega-fight, the details of the venue are currently not disclosed.
Verhoeven is a long-time Glory Kickboxing Champion with a record of 66-10 (21 KOs). He also has one fight each in professional boxing and MMA, both of which ended in victory. For Usyk, this may be the first official fight against a representative of kickboxing.
The initiative to hold the match belongs to the head of the General Directorate of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh.
