“The world heavyweight champion will enter the ring against Deontay Wilder from the USA”, — write: sport.ua
On Saturday, December 27, the Ukrainian sportsman arrived in Riyadh to watch the fight of one of the strongest boxers of our time. Absolute world champion from Japan Naoya Inoue defeated the Mexican contender Alan David Picasso by points.
During the show in Saudi Arabia, Usyk managed to talk to journalists and answer several questions. The representative of Ukraine said that his plans have not changed – he will enter the ring next year to fight against the American knockout artist Deontay Wilder.
The boxer from the USA is a former world champion in the royal division and had 49 fights in the professional ring, in which he won 44 (43 by decision).
In July, Usyk knocked out the British Daniel Dubois in the fifth round and became the absolute world champion, but in October he lost one title, refusing to defend the WBO belt.
