President of the WBC Mauricio Suleiman commented on a possible fight for the heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk against ex-WBC champion Deontay Wilder.

“Undoubtedly, we hope to see Usyk again in the ring. He appealed to the WBC for a voluntary title defense, which was granted, and we are currently awaiting details of his upcoming fight. Wilder has been the WBC champion for five years, he is incredibly strong and has the right to fight in a voluntary defense,” Suleiman said.

Previously, the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career.
