Promoter David Higgins said that Alexander Usik’s team has not yet reappeared at the WBO requirement to carry out a mandatory protection of the title against Joseph Parker.
If Usik refuses, the belt will become vacant.
“There is no answer from Usik, no reaction, no negotiations. There is a feeling that Usik will not protect the title. In this case, Parker is ready to fight with those who will put WBO – Ituma, Wilder, Zjilei, Bakole, ”Higgins said.
The Ukrainian boxer does not publicly comment on the requirement to fight the parker.
