September 4 in Liverpool starts first Boxing World Championship Under the auspices of World Boxing. The Ukrainian team will participate in competitions where 20 sets of awards among men and women will be played.
The FBU emphasizes that this solution has become an important step for the development of domestic boxing and new achievements in the international arena. Every performance of Ukrainian athletes will now have not only sports but also symbolic significance – as a protection of the country’s honor at the world level.
The statement of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine
The Boxing Federation of Ukraine has officially become part of World Boxing! The Board of Directors of the World Boxing Association approved the application of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine. This opens the door to all the World Boxing tournaments for our athletes, namely the world’s cups and world championships, as well as other international competitions.
Tomorrow the first World Boxing World Championship will begin in Liverpool, where the Ukrainian team will compete at the highest level. Each boxer of ours goes to the ring not only for medals – but also for the honor of the country. The Boxing Federation of Ukraine is doing everything possible for the development of Ukrainian boxing, the support of our athletes and new victories.
