Head of Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Entertainment Turki Al-Sheikh denied information that funding will be cut in the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Fund.
“His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh has strongly denied recent reports of alleged cost-cutting at boxing events. Al-Sheikh claims the information is “a lie” and that “a big surprise will be announced in 2026,” Turki was quoted as saying by The Ring.
Earlier, the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Entertainment, Turki Al-Sheikh, announced the return of former world champion Tyson Fury and hinted at a trilogy against Oleksandr Usyk.
