There will be a medal! Ukrainian Jasan overcame the titled Georgian at the 2025 World Cup

On September 4, the First World Boxing World Boxing (WB) World Championships started in English Liverpool. Participants compete at the Liverpool Arena stadium and will play medals in 20 weight categories among men and women within 11 days.

On Friday, September 12, the third battle at the tournament was conducted by a representative of the weight category up to 85 kg Danilo Jassanwhich went out to the ring against Georgian George Kushitashiv.

The battle lasted less than one round – during a spectacular confrontation, the Ukrainian rival was dissected and could not continue the fight. The judges determined the winner on the results of the first 3-minute. With a score of 4: 1, Jasan won, who won the semifinals permit and will become the owner of the first and only medal for the national team of Ukraine at this World Cup.

There are no duels in the Liverpole tournament for third place, so the semifinalists will, at least, will be the owners of bronze awards. Danilo remained the last representative of the “blue and yellow” team in this tournament.

It is worth noting the importance of this victory, because the Ukrainian has overcome a very titled rival. Kushitashvili is a bronze medalist of the World Cup (2023), European Champion (2022) and multiple medalist at international and national tournaments.
