Ukrainian Dmitry Rybalko (4–0, 2 KOs) and Australian Jud Grant (8–0, 2 KO) issued a very spectacular and intense battle that ended in a draw.

There was very little chance of breaking the fight. The judges recorded the victory of Derek – 60-54, 60-54 and 59-56. By the way, the Canadian is considered one of the obvious favorites of this Grand Prix.
