The boxing champion of Ukraine died fighting for Ukraine against the Russian occupiers Volodymyr Yushchenko.
The tragedy occurred near the village of Nova Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The 36-year-old sportsman, a native of the village of Tinky, Cherkasy region, from the first days of the full-scale invasion stood up for the defense of the state in the ranks of the Defense Forces.
Yushchenko was a master of sports, a silver medalist of the European Championship in Serbia and a bronze medalist of the continental championship in Hungary, as well as a multiple champion of Ukraine among schoolchildren, juniors and youth. Graduated from Cherkasy National University and Institute of Physical Culture.
