Promoter Frank Warren explained why Moses Itaumi’s opponent on January 24 will be Jermaine Franklin, whom fans do not consider a serious test for the Briton.
“Why Franklin? I don’t want to say it, but I like Itauma’s knockouts, I like watching him go through people. In fact, sooner or later Moses will go the full distance of the fight, someday it will happen.”
“We consider Franklin to be an ideal opponent. It’s a shame we couldn’t arrange a fight in December,” Warren said.
20-year-old Itauma had 13 professional fights and won 13. No fight lasted more than six rounds.
