Former world champion in light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg) Oleksandr Gvozdyk (21–2, 17 KO) talked about his plans, and also denied the information about the fight for the temporary title, which appeared in the Ukrainian press the day before.

– Oleksandr, there is information about your possible fight against Albert Ramirez. Can you confirm or deny this insider?

– This is incorrect information.

– When will we see you again in the ring?

– There will be big news this week. I’m not saying anything specific yet. An official announcement will be made. Wait a little.

– How long do you plan to perform?

– I like what I do. As long as I have strength and health, I box. When it’s over, I’ll stop.

– What are your goals for the rest of your career?

– To become the world champion again either at the end of 2026 or at the beginning of 2027, – said Gvozdyk.

The Ukrainian boxer last entered the ring on April 19, when he knocked out the American Anthony Holloway in the third round. Gvozdyk held the title of world champion from 2018 to 2019.
