Former world champion David Hay assessed the chances of the British victory Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) in a possible third match against the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs): 
“I just think Joshua made a mistake in the first two fights. It was a fight with a great fighter Usyk – he is a top, a real top, a good guy. What would be negative to say if Joshua retired now? On paper he would go down as one of the greatest fighters of all time, in reality you would give him a chance against almost any opponent in his prime.
Anthony Joshua’s chances of beating Usyk now, after two losses, are much higher than they were before. Because he knows how to do everything wrong. And he does it in practice.”
Usyk has already defeated Joshua twice: once in 2021, and the second time in 2022.
