The famous boxer planned to enter the ring on December 2 in Dubai (UAE), but committed suicide. As a result, the organizers were forced to postpone the show to February 13 of the following year.
Hatton was due to fight UAE boxer Ace Al Dah (8-3, 4 KOs), but the Brit will now be replaced by Brook, who has not fought in three years. This was reported by the press service of the organizers:
“The first professional boxer from the UAE, Eisa Al Dah, will face former world champion Kell Brook from Great Britain in a fight for the WBC belt.
In the undercard, the audience will see the fights of local boxers against rivals from Manchester. The event will be dedicated to the memory of the legendary Ricky Hutton and support of the recently established Charitable Foundation.”
Brook held the IBF title from 2014 to 2017 and had many interesting and spectacular fights during his professional career. Kell’s opponents were Amir Khan, Terence Crawford, Errol Spence, Gennady Golovkin, Sean Porter, Vyacheslav Senchenko and others.
