On the night of May 11 at the PECHANGA ARENA arena, San Diego (USA) was held a boxing evening from Top Rank promotional company.

The main event was the title battle in the second lightweight weight (up to 59 kg) – the WBO World Cup was met in the ring Emmanuel is overwhelmed (39–2–1, 32 KO, Mexico) and Philippine Claim Charlie Suarez (18-0, 10 KO).

The favorite of the favorite from the first minutes took control in the center of the ring, easily smashed the opponent with combinations. Suarez hid behind the block, moved well on his feet, but missed too much.

In the sixth round, boxers faced their heads – in Navarrete there was a terrible cut near the eye. The champion was allowed to reach the next 3-minute, but the doctor showed the referee that the fight should be stopped.

After seven rounds, the judges calculated the notes, the winner of which was the Mexican. He remained the world champion, but hardly wanted to win the technical solution. It is worth noting that many fans and experts believe that the dissection came from a legal blow to Suarez, not head collision.

Emmanuel Navarrete (Mexico) – Charlie Suarez (Philippines) – TD 7 (78–75, 77–76, 77–76)
